Die For Me by Amy Plum

I'm sorry I haven't posted In a while. My grandpa passed away not too long ago, and I put my reading and blogging on hold while I was dealing with all of this. But I decided to pick up another book. So I started with Die For Me by Amy Plum. I had already read this book, but I wanted to read it again along with the second book, before I read the third book for the first time. I love this series. I've never read another book like it. It isn't about werewolves, vampires, or even ghosts, it's about revenants. Kate moves to Paris after her parents die, to live with her Mamie and Papy. After being a loner for so long, when she decides to go out and do something, she goes to a cafe where she meets a guy named Vincent. He's mysterious and she feels like she knows him. They start seeing each other, but when she goes over to his house one day, to leave a message for him, she wanders the house and finds his dead corpse. Only he's not dead. He's the undead, or a form of it. They're called Revenants. When they die a mortal death, while saving someone else, they reanimate in three days. Then they spend their lifetime dying to save others. But there are others whose existence is to destroy lives. And there is a never ending war between the two. And Kate gets mixed up in the middle of it all. This book is hard to put down. It's a clean read for those who don't like bad language. And like I said, I haven't read any other story even similar to this plot, and I've read a lot. If you like YA Paranormal Romance, you have got to check it out.

Of Neptune by Anna Banks

I finished Of Neptune by Anna Banks a little bit ago, but I haven't had time to post on here because of school. School is almost over, so I will be free to read as much as I please. Anyway, in Of Neptune, Emma and Galen are going on Vacation for the summer, so Galen can clear his mind. Emma's grandpa has given her a direction to go, but keeps the final destination a secret, but they will know it when they see it. They stumble upon a town called Neptune, and get this, it's a town full of Halfs and Full Syrena! But some people don't want a triton Royal hanging about. And you never know who could be around any corner. Anna Banks has done yet another great book. An awesome, epic finale for this trilogy. This book takes an entirely different turn than the other two books. The first two are linked together. They both have the same plot, to help Emma discover who she is, and to get the authority of the royals in the underwater community stabilized, oh, and of course to find a way for Emma and Galen to be together, but in this one, all of these things have happened already. So you see a new side to the characters, and you see how they react when put in a different atmosphere, and different situation, that happens mostly above land. It's a really good book, and you should definitely read it. (Don't forget to read the first two first, though.) #SummerReading

Of Triton by Anna Banks

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to post this. I finished the book a little bit ago, but I am just now where I can post. I finished reading Of Triton by Anna Banks. This is the second book in her trilogy. In this installment they have discovered that Nalia the long lost triton princess is alive, and is Emma's mom. When everyone is reconnected, they face a problem, Jagen has managed to turn the kingdom against them, and the royals go on trial to prove the identity of Nalia, and to prove that Paca does not have the gift of Poseidon, But can they do it without putting Emma in the mix? I love this book. This was my second time reading it, and it probably won't be the last. I loved how this book takes place mostly under water in the Syrena realm, as opposed to the first book, where most of it took place on land. This book gives you more emotions too. You feel more hurt and sadness, but you also feel really happy at times, and you will probably also have "what the what?" Moments. You have to check out this series. You won't be disappointed.

Of Poseidon by Anna Banks

This is my second time reading this book. I have read the first and second book in this trilogy and I am rereading them in order to read the third. In Of Poseidon by Anna Banks, Emma, a normal 18 year old girl, discovers she isn't so normal after all, shes a Syrena, another name for a mermaid. (but don't call them that.) Galen, a drop dead gorgeous Syrena prince, discovers her and helps her find out what she is, because she's different from the other Syrena, and she cant grow a fin. Galen has to fight his growing attraction to Emma, not just because its forbidden, but if he decides to mate with Emma, it could endanger the Syrena people as a whole, by putting an end to the gift of Poseidon. The first time I read this book, I started reading it at 7PM and finished reading it at 8AM the next morning. I love this book. The relationship between Galen and Emma is so innocent, yet intense. Galen is definitely swoon-worthy. He's so Naive, but that only makes him hotter. The only thing I had one of my friends comment on not liking about this book, is that it switches between first person and third person. Each chapter it switches. When it is in first person, it is Emma's POV. When it switches to third person, you are seeing through Galen's eyes. I don't mind this. I still enjoyed the book. It has a great plot and great characters, but if you aren't a fan of third person books, you could find it challenging. I hope you enjoy this read as much as I did. Now its time to read the second book in this trilogy, Of Triton.

Tremble by Jus Accardo

Sorry it took me another two weeks for this book instead of one week. I just finished reading Tremble by Jus Accardo. In this book, Dez has been looking for Kale after he got taken, again, by Denazen. What she didn't expect was to find him at a party she went to, in plain sight, with none other than Keirnan... and they're all over each other. Denazen has twisted Kale's memories, so now he thinks Dez is Keirnan, and Keirnan is going by the name Roz. They have given him a new version of the supremacy drug, and now he no longer has to worry about touching people and killing them, he can control it. But Denazen is controlling him. Dez has to find a way to get his memories back, while fighting the side effects of the supremacy drug. The underground has also found a lead on a cure, but should she choose finding the cure or Kale for her first priority. Even if Kale regains his memory, will he truly ever be the same? I LOVED THIS BOOK! I honestly thought that this was the last book in the Denazen series. When I got to the end I was like "this can't be it." I thought it left with one heck of a cliffhanger. But I am happy to announce that there will be other books. I believe there will be two more books in this series. You don't see Kale as a regular character in this book until the middle somewhere. This is the first time you really see how Dez acts by herself. In the other books you have her with Kale through both of the books. In this one you see the side of her without Kale. Shes the same character, but you feel a separation that breaks your heart. Just like in the second book, you are introduced to many more characters, but they also don't show as much of characters that were in the second book. You only see Jade for a handful of times. This book has loads of action, and keeps your eyes glued to the pages. If you've read the other books, don't miss this one, and if you haven't read the others, you better start reading them this very instant! Happy Readings!

Toxic by Jus Accardo

I finished it! It's been a crazy week, but I did it. In this book you are introduced to more characters. Instead of it mainly focusing on Kale and Dez, you have all the characters introduced that make you feel all these different emotions. In this book Dez is hiding a secret from Kale that is life threatening. She doesn't want him to get hurt. Dez has also lost her ability to touch kale, her price for healing him. And now Jade is introduced to help him control his ability so he can touch Dez (and everyone else) freely. But this brings a lot of drama, because he can touch Jade. I loved this book, but I found myself really hating some of the characters, it wasn't as much the character I hated, but their actions. I felt like everyone was taking the wrong coarse of action at times, and sometimes I found myself really wanting to slap some sense into Dez for keeping secrets, but even though all this with the characters is happening, I feel myself being drawn into the book. I can't get enough. The storyline works, and even though sometimes the characters get annoying, it just takes the storyline to where it needs to be. You'll love this book, I did. I can wait to read the third, and final, book in this trilogy. #keepreading

Another Week

This past week has been hectic. Toxic by Jus Accardo is going to be the first book to take me two weeks to finish. It has nothing to do with the content of the book. The book itself is amazing. I've been doing crazy hours with work and school, but I have a deadline. I have till Friday to finish it. I'm not gonna let myself miss that deadline! Peace out! And Read on!

The Challenge

I challenge anyone who has read one of the books I have reviewed,  to comment their own thoughts on the book, or if you haven't read one, pick one and read it, then comment on it. Let me know how long it took you to get through the book, and give a different perspective on it. Your perspective.

Touch by Jus Accardo

Last night was day seven of reading Touch by Jus Accardo. It's getting tougher to balance my homework, with my reading, BUT I DID IT! I finished Touch at 11:55 PM last night! Five minutes to spare. This book is about Dez, the party girl of her school, who finds a boy on her way home from a party. He's being chased and she decides to lend a helping hand, one that he won't touch. She has no idea what she's getting herself into. Kale, the boy being chased, has been locked up for all of his life because of his ability, or curse, to kill any living thing he touches. He has no knowledge of Love, and anything that goes along with it, but he learns fast. When he goes home with a stranger, how was he supposed to know her dad was the guy who kept him behind bars. When he tries to protect himself, and hurt Dez, turns out she is the only one he can touch. This book is such a cute love story. Don't get me wrong, its not some lovey dovey book, it has some major action scenes. It's cute because Kale is so naive about life, and he doesn't know anything about love, and he's figuring it all out in such a short period of time. My favorite scene in this book is when he finds out what a kiss feels like. If language does bother you, then you might want to stay away from this book. It isn't too strong, but there is more than some. Its not too bad though. I didn't have a problem with it. This is my second time reading the book. I just bought all three in the trilogy and have only read the first two, so i'm re-reading them both before I read the third book. Now I'm off to start the second book, Toxic.

Ghost House by Alexandra Adornetto

This week I got a second book in. I read it in only four days! I was super psyched to read Gost House by Alexandra Adornetto, because she is the one who inspired me to write. She got her first trilogy, the Halo trilogy (which is also amazing), written at such a young age, and this made me believe I could write as well, even though I'm only 19. I had high expectations starting out on this book, and she didn't disappoint. This story is about Chloe, who can see ghosts. After the death of her mother, she moves to Europe with her grandmother for a while, where she get caught up in a battle of love and loss, this is also where she meets Alex, a drop "dead" gorgeous ghost! This book isn't like most paranormal romance books, where there are all thes weird supernatural talents that this girl has, that completely alter the world. The author doesn't make the world something new in this book, she adds on to it. She gives us something we can relate to, but also something that make us wonder what else is out there. She makes it feel as if this stuff could actually happen. My only thought after reading this book was "when will the next book come out?!" I'm excited to see what happens next in this addictive saga.

Week 3 Goddess by Josephine Angelini

I finished Goddess, the final installment of the Starcrossed trilogy by Josephine Angelini in only TWO DAYS! In this book Helen is going against the odds, against fate, to fight the Greek Gods. This book takes everything you have learned in the previous books, and twists it. There are some things that you can guess, but then there are many more plot twists that leave you thinking "what just happened?" You will find yourself hating characters you love, and loving characters you hate. I assumed that this book was going to be fight, fight, fight, but there is only one MASSIVE fight scene at the end. It'll have you at the edge of your seat, wondering who will live or die, and what the final outcome will be. Its an Epic finale, for an Epic series. It won't disappoint. Happy readings.

Second Book Completed!!! Dreamless by Josephine Angelini

I finished my second book, Dreamless by Josephine Angelini, in only 6 days! In this sequel to the book Starcrossed, Helen is trudging trough the underworld, on a mission to defeat the Furies. Not far into the book you meet Orion, who shares a connection with Helen. In Dreamless Josephine brings a love triangle to the table, but unlike some books, where the girl is crazy in love with both guys, she can't make a decision, but she ends up sticking with the first guy and the second one could have not even been placed in the story and it would have still worked, this book is done tastefully. Helen never loses track of what she wants. In her heart, she knows what she wants, but she can't have it, so she's trying to find the next best thing. One thing I really like about the book, is that it has many more perspectives throughout the book. Even though it is in third person, you still see through the character's eyes, and feel what they are feeling, but it switches around between characters, sort of like it does in the Shiver trilogy. This book has quite a bit more action in it than in the first one, and I have a feeling the third one will have even more, so if you are into action, Greek Mythology, and romance, this is a great read. You guys HAVE to read this series!

FIRST BOOK COMPLETED! Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

I finished the first book of the year! (In only 6 days!) I started at the top of my bookshelf with Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini. This book follows the journey of a teenager, by the name of Helen, who finds out she is a decedent of, wait for it, Zeus. She gets caught up in a fight between the different houses, which are descendants of different Greek gods, to raise Atlantis. This can only happen when the houses unite, which happens when all of the houses are dead, or by intermarrying between the houses. One side of the house of Thebes, descended from Apollo, wants Atlantis to be raised, the other side is dead set against it. Raising Atlantis would cause many to die, hence good verses evil. Helen's identity was kept secret by her mother who abandoned her at a young age, so when she is discovered, this puts a target on her back. She is kept safe by the good side of the house of Thebes. Which is where Luke comes in. They have to stay at arms length to avoid accidentally raising Atlantis, but they find themselves drawn to one another. In this race against fate, who will win? I normally don't like books as much when they are in third person, but I found myself becoming the character, even through third person. Even you, who are like me, reading mainly first person, will like this book. It also skips around, to where you are seeing through other characters eyes, even though most of it is through Helen's. Helen feels like the average girl. Many can connect with the mortal part of her. The insecure girl, that shies away from being noticed. This connection will draw you in, and keep you loving the characters, and loving the book. Josephine made it to where we can relate to the characters, who may be somewhat different, but are still normal teenagers at heart. She even includes normal struggles we face, while incorporating a bigger paranormal struggle to keep it interesting. I give this book a five star rating. It would be good for any person who loves paranormal romance. I greatly suggest you read this book. Now, off to read the second book in this trilogy, Dreamless.

I own over 600 books. My New Years Resolution this year is to read at least one book every two weeks, but preferably one every week. I am going to be posting reviews of said books after I get done reading them, because if I post during, then my mind could change later about how i feel about the book. I hope you check back to see what awaits.
